It looks like we have another great venue for our upcoming 86th OSG meeting in South Beach. Remember that this meeting will take place on Friday, September 27th at 5:30 pm following the ANS meeting. We have been able to obtain a partial buy-out of an incredible French-Mediterranean restaurant, the Villa Azur. As mentioned previously, this venue should allow us to accommodate over 200 participants. Based on last year's attendance, we will need it. Again, we will allow members to sponsor a neurotology fellow. If you are interested in sponsoring a neurotology fellow, please contact my administrative assistant, Courtney at execadmin@carolinaear.us. Also, if you know colleagues who are appropriate for membership, please have them complete a registration from the OSG website and obtain two letters of recommendation from OSG members.
Our president, Liz Toh, has put together an outstanding scientific program. This year, Dr. Matt Carlson and Dr. Jack Lane will be presenting "Photon Counting CT: Its Role in Evaluation in Otosclerosis and Other Middle Ear Pathologies".
In addition, we will have the OSG Doc's Discussion. If you have interesting or unusual cases with video documentation, please submit them to my email, (mcelveen.us@gmail.com) for consideration.
Lastly, you will be getting a dues notice from Wild Apricot on May 15th. We will be sending out a video explaining step-by-step how to register for the meeting in South Beach.
The way that this year is going, our meeting in September will be here before we know it. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
All the best,
John T. McElveen, Jr., MD
Secretary/Treasurer for the Otosclerosis Study Group
